Leeward, up-the-roll jacquard stripe, echoes the abstract language of the Fantasy jacquard. This pattern can be read as waves, or dunes, or even make associations with tribal or animal print theme. The design inspiration comes from organic shapes, textures and colors of the sandy cliffs of the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve in the area of San Diego, CA. 

Visiting customers on the West Coast I couldn´t help but take a little detour to see the local wildlife and nature. Initially planned as a sporty hike over picturesque acres, the hike turned into a photo tour: rocks shimmering in the sun with silver and gold colors, a wide spectrum of earthy tones enriched with warm greens and reds of local terrains, complemented by coastal blue sky and cooled down with a refreshing breeze – this breathtaking field experience was incredibly inspiring for my design work.
